Infant sleep products consultation
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) sought submissions on proposed policy options to reduce the risk of death and injury associated with infant sleep products, including infant inclined products.
An ACCC consultation paper has been released seeking views on the likely effectiveness and cost options to address the known risks associated with infant sleep products, including infant inclined products.
The paper also includes questions about whether the existing mandatory safety standard for folding cots and household cots should be updated.
Responses are helping the ACCC determine a preferred regulatory option.
Submissions have closed.
